  Now, what do I mean by a melancholic feeling? Well, the one who understood that very well is Dr. Valerie Orlando who wrote the book "Of Suffocated Hearts and Tortured Souls" in 2003. As an admirer and collector of my work, she asked me to collaborate a painting for that book cover. I released to her the painting entitle "Rainbow woman".

Rainbow Woman was well fitted for her book because she is a multidimensional and multi-personality being. She encompasses all aspects of womanhood. Sister, lover, mother etc.  She is a nation

or people maker, a man maker. I myself was molded by my deceased sister from birth old to the age of 7. She is

 Rainbow Woman and many other paintings I painted over the years. I dedicated a page for her on the site, please look for it. You will find a goodbye letter written to me from her deathbed.

          Even though I looked at her as my mother figure when I was a kid. As a grown-up, she looked at me as her older brother. She used to tease me as her little big brother. Nothing makes me prouder than to have financed her trip to Mecca when she became a Muslim before she died. Years earlier she took me on a pilgrimage trip to Haiti in 1999 when we went to Saut D'eau, where I had one of the best times of my life. 

    Now back to the melancholic mood I mean to convey. The author Valerie Orlando localized her book on Francophone women who

lived thru colonization and revolutions and repressive regimes. But my approach and vision goes far wider and deeper. The woman image is just the vehicle but the tortured soul condition encompasses all but in different degrees, men included. In the developed  countries it abounds as well, different form and more subtle but the result is not better even with material riches. Illusional freedom, women  inequality, insecure men, lives completely empty, mental illness abounds everywhere. And yes, many of the isms included racism are all forms of human mental disorders, same disease different symptoms underneath the material wealth.

Keep in mind it is the behavior of the so-called superior and advanced countries who felt it was their duty without any invitation to invade the so call inferior savage countries that left those poor souls in that condition. The urge or duty not just to invade and conquer inferior people but to transform them into something alien from themselves, erasing their identilty, languages, beleifs ect.... That urge is a greater disease. Dont you find hypocritical of how everything about us are savage including our culture, lands, trees, animals, fruits, tropical air ect... But the  inhuman savagery unleashed and distributed indiscriminately not just on us to take our place but on the animals, the trees, earth, water, air etc...,  this unprecedented unbounded savagery is  not recognized or even acknowledged.  Have you ever see a decomposing deer on the side of the road? Price of  human progress?......or is that represent a glimpse into something more sinister or unnatural . it is pure and simple opposition to universal law or savagery of the highest order.

     How does the proverb goes  again?  What good is it to conquer and gain the whole universe by material force yet forfeit the soul? 

             Dear tortured souls, take comfort in reading this in reverse. Nature, the universe or life itself is feminine in nature. Raping her yield only temporary benefits and with time those always turn sour. Yaeh going to outer space? looking for more to plunder? with gasoline fire coming out of your arse and fecal matter in your belly.,,,,,,yeah have at it ah ah ah. Something is missing in the math or calculus. The universe secrets are well gaurded. They have gone or cannot go nowhere.
